I was reading a very interesting article this morning about bowel cancer. Where I live is a hot spot for this type of cancer.
I personally believe that bowel health is imperative to overall health.
Most mothers would be extremely concerned for their child's health if they hadn't a daily bowel movement and yet they accept not going for days themselves?!
So I thought it might be a good idea to suggest some goods habits to insure bowel health.
The article I read this morning suggests increased hormones levels like insulin could be a trigger ....
Therefore to insure slow steady insulin levels we should
1.eat good quality protein with each meal because protein takes longer to digest so this will helps keep your blood sugar levels
2. Replace all white foods with brown....for example replace white bread with whole grain, replace white rice with whole grain....for the same reason as above ...because it takes longer to digest it will keep our blood sugar levels on an even keel.
3. Minimise our sugar intake ...again because it will cause massive spikes in blood sugar levels ...
Anyone care to make suggestions..in keeping with a positive thought provoking thread please.
