i recently bought the maximist from tantrick and think its great however im now wondering if the T200 would have been better.
What one do people prefer and why?xx

ok, as you know I prefer the T200...

It is lighter,
smaller,
uses less solution,
has better components i.e proper fittings for the hose rather than just push on pipe.
It sprays a finer mist because the needle is finer

the only thing I liked better on the Maximist were the length of hose and the fact that the cup and gun stand up on their own...that's it! I didnt like the length of the handle thing when I was spraying though as I am used to keeping the gun and cup upright and found if I sprayed like that the handle stopped me from getting down low enough to spray feet. I also found the Maximist hard to clean properly compared to the T200 which I can strip in about 30 seconds flat.

No competition in my opinion, if you tried the T200 you wouldnt want to go back :green:

thanks for that. How much solution do you use with your T200?xx

Im wondering the same thing! Looking into which one to order, got a pack sent through from Sienna with a guide on the machines they offer. The t200 is about £100 more, I guess you get what you pay for. Seen quite a few people have the busy bronzer, wondered what peoples opinions were of it?

I totally agree with Jaffacake(Sherrie) who is an experienced spray tanner and knows her onions.

I am new to the tanning side of beauty but I am loving my T200 it is a fantastic little machine!

It gives a very light but efficient spray and is as good for a one off spray application but can cope easily with a tan party of 10 or over.

Can't fault it. X

I'm using around 25ml per full body tan on average, size dependant etc.

Tantrick sell it cheaper than Sienna if that helps, failing that, tell Sienna you saw it cheaper with Tantrick and they might throw in a litre of solution to even it out, that's what they did for me

i already have my maximist machine which is only 2 weeks old. not sure what to do now, was happy with my machine but if its using double the solution I need to then maybe its not so good. xx

you could try turning the nozzle right down so you are spraying as little as possible, I couldnt get it to spray as little as the T200 however much I tried though. I'm sure you will use less the more tans you do and the better you get at it  If you are happy with the machine then perservere x

Anyone else just starting out and wanting to invest in a quality machine i'd say bite the bullet and spend a little more, you will soon make that money back x

if i turn it right down so that I aiming for 25-30 ml will i still get the same outcome of the tan? im worried that if i was to use less the tan wouldnt be that dark or that i may not be able to see the guide colour very much?what solution do you use?x

There are other factors which come into play, other than how open or closed your nozzle is....how close you spray and also how slowly or quickly you spray.

I love the T200, always have done, but have recently fallen in love with the Maximist, as have our staff in the salon and lots of of our Mobile Spray Tanners who are just starting out.

I don't think you should be concerned at all Allie, you just need to make sure you are doing what you should with your machine to get the best from it....and you should speak to your Trainer if you need further advice:)

Many people when first starting out as Spray Tanners use too much solution - not the machine's fault - just inexperience, hth:)

thanks. I think ill stick with the maximist for now as i do like it. I use about 50ml of solution just now and i have my sister to spray tomoro and 2 clients so hopefully i can try and get it down a bit. Should i be spraying closer/quicker to use less or does it depend on the machine?xx

Good stuff Fiona,
the T200 is more expensive and has a fine mist compared to the maximist which to be fair does offer a good low cost entry point to therapists...that said the maximist can be adjusted to give as good a tan outcome as the T200..in the right hands and with some practice ..speed of movement/experience etc.
in fact I believe the maximist has some advantages over the T200 however these do take a bit of time and usage to get the hang of

both machines offer excellent opportunities for therapists who,for not a lot of capital outlay can get out there and start developing a sound business...what other industry can offer the opportunity of a good revenue income stream for so little up front investment:hug:

so do you think it might be worth my while to try and sell the maximist for what i can get and purchase the T200 if it is going to produce better tan and use less solution?xx

The thing here is that you have purchased the machine..it will do more than an ample spray tan so it really isn't worth trying to sell it and upgrade....

Just because you might drive a mini doesn't mean that when you see a different car driving down the road that you have to change your car just because that one pulled away from the lights slightly faster than you did.

So...give it a fair try and im sure you will be more than happy in the long term

your right, good way of putting it. ALthough quite often I do see another car driving down the road and want to change my car. Im never happy lol

LOL me to

If you need any help in getting to grips with things you know where we are

is there a difference in noise level between these two machines?

The HV5008 is marginally more noisy but certainly not enough to base any choice between the two on

Basically a summery is they are both good machines and will turn out a good tan result.

If you have a tight budget the HV5008 is obviously a better option and likewise if you have a little more to spend the T200 is a good option also.

The HV5008 comes with spare cups and pick up hose where as the T200 doesn't.

Both machine manufacturers are good well run manufacturers with excellent customer service.

I guess at the end of the day its down to available budget really that would be the deciding factor

HTH:hug:
