Iv been trained in L+P . do u need to be trained and get a qualification to offer gel nails. especially basic over lays.

You are always better to do training in your chosen system there are so many differences between L&P and Gel.
If you want to offer the best service you possibly could you do need to do training

You are also unlikely to get insurance for gel without a suitable qualification in it.

I am trained with L&P but offer gel toes/nno. I did do a course with nsi for the gel toes overlay but they do not issue a certificate for this course. And they say you only need to be trained in manicure/pedicure or enhancements to do this.. ( I was disappointed no cert given ) , so would this then affect me getting insurance for gel toes????
