About as far South as you can get!
Hi guys :)

I was just wondering if it would be better for me to get two wax heaters for two different types of wax. I have wax cream (Hive) and will be getting the hard wax that you pick off for the more sensitive areas of the body (thinking of Hive or Perron Rigot). I'm assuming it would be easier to get another heater? I have a Deo 1000 (cc?) heater at the moment, never used it as I'm booked on my wax course in around two weeks time, but would like to be prepared.

FYI, I'm intending on going part mobile, part salon based.

Thanks for any input :)

My personal choice would be 2x 1000cc heaters. (I actually have 3 plus a roller). When you're busy with waxing it's really useful to have a choice of wax, as you will get to know which type of wax is best for different types of hair.

Just one thing to bear in mind when you're mobile- hot wax takes quite a while to heat through

Thanks for your reply Zo Zo :)

I intend working mainly in the salon room I'm hoping to rent, probably 2 eves and a saturday to begin with as I still work school hours in my 'job' while I build up my client base, for example on a Sunday or perhaps on an evening when I'm not in the salon, and once I'm in the salon more and busier (it will happen!), I'll let them know that unfortunately being mobile will no longer be feasible for me. I expect there will be the odd client who I would be willing to travel to though.

Thanks again, I thought having two would be a better option, saves chopping and changing about with the wax and also less mess!

Absolutely more than one pot and as Zo Zo said the 1000cc heaters from hive are great. I have three at the moment as I do so much waxing and am going to buy another heater very soon.

I have used both Hive and the Perron Rigot hot waxes and without a doubt the Perron Rigot wins. However, look out also for Berins wax which will be launched in the UK in October I believe.

Thanks hun

There's not much of a price difference between Hive & PR so I think I'll go with PR :) I'll keep my eyes peeled for the Berins too :green:
