Hi all,

Just wanting some advice really.

I've been off work for a week and a half with a virus, I was cancelling my clients when I didn't have cover. However on the Saturday I got really sick and had to go to hospital. I left a list with my dad and he callled all of them. He had to leave one message, but bless him, he did his best.

One of my clients came in on the Saturday, she was having her hair done while her daughter had a facial. She lives two minutes from the salon and the owner of the hair salon offered and did drop her daughter home when they explained I was off (even though she had been called.)

Anyway when I got back to work I called her to apologise for coming in and explained how ill I was and that my dad had called. She said she understood said it wasn't a problem and rebooked.

Then I get a text from her hairdresser saying she'd received the following text:
''Hi, spoke to Becks today, said her dad left a message. Yeah thats why ***(her daughter) turned up!! We were in all day until it was time to come!''

So my question is what would you do?

a)Ignore the text as it wasn't sent to me and I should not know about it
b)Tackle it head on and apologise that she didnt receive the message but thought it had been sorted.

I think I know the answer - a, but its really grinding on me as I bend over backwards for this woman as she is so difficult and she doesn't tell anyone but something bad happens and I know she'll tell everyone.

Thanks in advance

Becki

ignorance is bliss hunny
and this client sounds very ignorant so that is how i would react, just ignore it and carry on as normal,
its true, you can kill with kindness and get so much satisfaction from doing so
( i don't mean kill literally lol)
