Hi I have had gel polish done a few times but I have noticed a dip half way down my nail, but only on my thumbs, any advice please?

It’s possibly over filing and the raised bit is the new growth
 
Yes, over filing/buffing several weeks ago near the cuticle and the dip is now growing out.
Gel polish is self levelling so an extra coat on the thumbs should even It out
