Hi,

I did a set of french sculpts 2 weeks ago and saw the lady yesterday at school. She was still wearing her nails and apart from the normal maintenance was very happy with the life of them.

I did however notice that they were quite discoloured! I asked her about this and she said that she goes on the sunbed nearly ever day.

I am currently in the process of making up my aftercare leaflets (I gave her aftercare advice) but what advice can i give to sunbed users of protecting thier nails? Other that dont, wear gloves.....haha.

Any help on wording for my leaflets would be sooooo helpful

Thanks

I believe there are UV protecting top coats you can get to help protect the nails.

There are even good products that never yellow and that don't need protective top coats.

i use little dippers for tip removal and it says on the packaging may be used to protect nails when using sun bed ...... just an idea .........but maybe a bit weird for your client to have to buy but some folk must use them if it has:Dis stated on packaging for one of its uses ....

Cheaper to use plasters if you are going that route!! lol

If you can't afford to change products to a non-yellowing one there are definately some good topcoats that protect nails from uv. Ez-Flow has one and I believe IBD does too.
