Obviously this is something I'm doing wrong but I'm not sure what, did a friend's nails and she had major lifting so when I put a new set on I paid extra attention to prep beforehand - i've used a nail sanitiser I've not used before, not sure if this would be the problem - it says its for nail prep before the application of acrylic nails - made sure cuticle pushed back and all tissue removed. Maybe i'm applying L&P too close to the cuticle and side wall area? I do find it really hard to get it thin enough and leave a small enough gap?

I seem to find there's pockets of lifting, worse on the larger nails than the small ones?

Help please peeps x

Hi, it sounds like you already know what your doing wrong hun....too close and too thick in zone 3...

The slightest bit of product on the skin will lift...then the air gets in and that lift gets bigger....tiny tiny bead in zone 3 and angle your brush so that as you press (pressing is important) any excess is pressed down the nail away from the cuticle. HTH x

If you do not know they are there, then check out the free tutorials from 'nailclass' here on the site.

There are so many about how to apply your product
Product control parts 1-4 will really help you OR you can buy a copy of the book which is not expensive and will really really help you with application techniques of all kinds.

Go to the navigation button and click on it and then on tutorials, choose your category and learn loads.

The general articles sectionis good too.

Getting to know this site will provide you with some very powerful tools for learning ... which is why this site was formed. I think sometimes people forget this and think it is all about questions and answers on the forums ... there is much to read and learn here.

I know others will agree you need this book nailclass - by gigi rouse
