do not disturb signs

I've bought some wooden door signs that fit over the doorhandle so that people don't come barging in on a treatment (happened a few times lately, but its usually NEW clients).

I want to customise is, at the moment it has a pic of Audrey Hepburn and in comic sans says MAID SERVICE REQUIRED.

I was thinking of either spraying them or decoupage them but want to put DO NOT DISTURB, or ROOM IN USE or something like that on it.

I am soooooooooooo not arty, so has anyone got any suggestions on how I can customise them?

You could try fablon .... or print somthing off and cover the whole thing in clear fablon ....

Or just buy some new ones lol

I take it you want to cover Audrey? You could make a collage on it with your fave pics and a do not disturb printed off the PC. Stick it on with copydex glue and when dry, paint a few layers of wood varnish onto it to protect.

yes, that sounds about right. thought I could cut things out of magazines and stick them on.
