I will soon be needing clients to practice on for eyelash extensions. I have loads of friends that are begging me to do them. I'm not sure what is a reasonable amount to charge them. I was thinking £30. I don't want to promise them an amazing set of lashes as I will still be learning. So I can't charge them the same amount as a pro could.

So what did you geeks first start off charging? I won't be doing clients until I am 100% happy with my appliction

I did my training just this saturday. They are on my new price lists at fll price, but I intend on doing them at £30 too, which is about half price anyway, until I am good at them. Even if it is until the end of the year. I will advertise them in salon at this reduced price. Hth x x

Thank you hun. Hope your training went wel! Did you enjoy it? x

Hi! I've been charging £20, but could really do with charginfg £30 as you go through the lashes so quickly xx

Yeah I did. I can tell i'm going to like lashing! A few teething troubles with regard to kit/service etc, but glamlash have been fab since, and I have had ongoing email updates, and they have been super quick at putting things right. I really can't fault them now. just waiting for my parcel today of bits that weren't in my kit and i'm one happy bunny!!

Yep, you go through them like lightning, its not just the ones you use, its also the ones you drop, or don't use straight away and have to junk. Think of your time too hun, don't forget that. Its the most inportant factor! Hth x x

Also look at what others are charging in your area,

If your going to start off by charging £30 put that as an introduction offer and say how much they will be once your happy

I don't do lashes yet but when I do I will be doing an introductory offer of £30 while I gain more expeience.

I agree, state on all your promo material what you will be charging when the offer ends so that people are clear on what you are offering!

Good point hun, thank you!!! x

I have been charging £20 for 30-40 lashes per eye, it takes me 1 1/2 to 2 hrs and I normally put on 40lpe.
I make sure everyone knows that it is an introductory price and am planning to go to full price in May, I will offer a free 2wk infill at first to soften the blow and then that will be it.
I have been getting quite a bit of business recently at my price lol, although I haven't been advertising it anywhere except on my website.

Good luck ladies,

Jen xx

Im not sure if I have read your post corectly, but I read it as though you are asking geeks opinions on whether £30 is too much to charge your friends as people to practice on.
Well to be honest, I practised on 5 people beofre I started charging full price as I felt confident after those 5 sets, but would never have dreamed of chrging them anything, as you are doing exactly that-PRACTISING.

I'm not sure, thought kylieb was meaning once she was trying to get her speed up as she isn't doing clients until happy with application.
I didn't charge for my first sets either, but only did them on close friends. I still have my price reduced though as I want to get faster at it.
Getting there slowly but surely  xx

Yes huni you did read it right. I don't think they should have it for free just because I am practising. I am still using my time to give them a treatment and my products will need replacing. I didnt want to charge too much for the fact that yes I am practicing! I don't know how many it will take me before I am confident. I hope I pick it up quick like you xxx
