Just wonderign what is the best thing to do buy a type of moobile table I can take with me or just use the clients table? What is best?

I bought my mobile table 5 years ago and its still going strong - the legs fold under and it fits in the boot of my car with room to spare for all my other equipment.

I have to say I prefer not to use my clients table (dining room or kitchen makes no difference) as usually you end up sitting twisted or leaning over too far - both of which make for bad back problems! And thats the last thing you want!

Soz but can't quite remember where I got mine from, but if you shop around the different suppliers it's probably best to find one thats good quality, rather than the cheapest, you want it to last after all!! Why not try looking on the internet?? Google it!!

Hope this hepls,

I always used a mobile table (got mine from Sally's)

I do know that some mobile people use a clients ironing board.

I do know that some mobile people use a clients ironing board.

Thats what I did, I just brought my big fluffy towel and my couch roll, the fact that the board will lower to any hight of chair that the client had made it perfect and my regs would get it set up before I arrived in which ever room was best which saved a lot of time, and space in my car:lol:
one of the ladies on here has just bought a folding one from argos, I think its a picnic table, think the thread was asking for a cheep mobile table but my memory is hopeless:lol:

I'm not mobile, but do go up my sisters and do her nails in her house at times.

I have used both her kitchen table and ironing board, they are fine for the odd time but i wouldn't want to do this day in day out. You end up sitting incorrectly and this will cause you problems in the long run.

Also, her ironing board has the shelf underneath to put stuff on, which is right where my legs should go, so again makes it uncomforable.

If you can, I would suggest getting your own table. It also looks more professional, imho.

I use the clients dining room table, cover it with a water proof sheet, and towels, failing that I ve used their ironing board,I take my own hydrolic stool along with me so I know Im comfortable.
I know some people on here dont think its very un proffesional to not have your own portable table, but people normally comment on how organised I am,I then just say..ooh yes I did have my own table too but it broke, havent got round to buying a new one yet.Dont think it bothers them.

Hi, I am a mobile nail tech and i don't use clients tables or any thing else because if i damaged it i would have to pay for it, so having my own table means i don't have to worry and is also better for your back, you can also work quicker because you always have your products in the same place when you set up.:)

Hi
i used to use the clients table but found that i was to far from the client, so i got a mobile table and find it better, got mine for £99.

I got mine from Sally's for about £50. It is portable, the legs fold away underneath so it is flat and it isn't too heavy either, but good enough to withstand a lot.

I recommend getting yourself your own table as i once had a new client who didn't have anything at all to do nails on, so we sat on her couch side by side and i did her nails.

I suffered for a week afterwards with neck and back ache as well as arm ache from twisting at an angle to do them. I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone.

Thanks ladies x

Hi Mrs R

The previous thread on this site suggested one from Argos for £12.99! A fold-up type of picnic table - looked ideal from the photo.
