We have a set allowance every month for our broadband and we keep going over our quota and having to pay more.

Can anyone tell me if it would be more economical for, say, 3 laptops to be used at the same time whilst the router is on, rather than all using it at separate times?

Sorry if this is a really stupid questions. I am really stupid about things like this. :o
 
Using them at the same time or at different times would not make any difference

If it is usage allowance (like you can use 50gb per month or whatever) then each page you look at takes up a bit of your allowance (even when you go back a page or only see the page for a few seconds while you click to go onto the next page - like a log in page) so the only way to not go over your allowance would be to limit the pages you view (by saving a direct link to any page you wish to view - yahoo, google, natwest, ebay etc, in your bookmarks or favourites) or to actually use the internet less.
