Does anyone know if the post is still held up?

hi

just wondered if anyone knew if there were still postal strikes going on? im waiting to have hair extensions fitted and have paid my deposit and the girl has told me they have still not arrived because of the post strikes making the mail take ages. She said she called last wednesday and they have been sent but still not here and thats been a week now. I live in scotland. xxx

In fairness there have been wildcat strikes all over the country for the past few weeks, so this could have held up your mail. Hopefully it will arrive this week, as it looks like an all out strike is on the cards from this weekend :irked:

We have been having problems with royal mail i have just received a letter today dated 29 Sept and it was first class, i posted a part for a t200 out to Scotland 1st class on Thursday morning it arrived Saturday lunch time :irked:

postal strikes have been going on in different areas it hasnt affected my postcode yet... so its best to check with royal mail in your area..

also special delivery is still supposed to go out as normal from what royal mail have said..

They announced earlier the result of the postal ballot for strike action by the postal workers....and guess what they said YES to a Strike!! .........was No ever really going to be the answer?

I received a parcel at the end of September dated 4th September! I think the recent post is getting through but the older stuff is at the bottom of the backlog pile!

Yes, the post has definitely been affected where I live (SE London),
I'm fed up of the blooming Post Office.

I'm waiting for a £400 cheque from a friend, whom I have now advised to stop that cheque which she posted about 3 weeks ago, in case it's gone missing. I also paid a Halifax credit card bill online instead of posting off a cheque (thought it would be simpler), but Halifax and Abbey between them managed to c*ck it up and the money only went through after 2 phonecalls - what a load of hassle.

So PAH! to the post office workers. Lazy g*ts, they should be grateful to have a job. My partner has been out of work for the best part of the past 2 years and can't get a job, so I have ABSOLUTELY NO SYMPATHY WHATSOEVER for them. I heard a union man on the radio this morning moaning about them having to walk for 4 hours a day, well so what? they have legs don't they? saves them having to pay to join a gym.
