Doing my own nails

when ever i do a set of nails on a client they turn out perfect, but whenever i seem to do my left hand the edges closest to the cuticle part always turn crispy??
im confused!

Probably not enough pressure or incorrect angle of the brush.....its very difficult to get your own perfect ....
