Hello fellow geeks!

I have got the great oppurtunity to do nails for a hair/fashion show in Sweden. The problem is I think I want to use really long stiletto nails and this can't be done on all the models on the same day and I don't trust them to walk around with these nails for longer than a day.

I can prepare and decorate tips before the show but i want some sort of easy almost glue-on solution that can be done a few hours before the show. I can't have the models can't break the nails during on right before.

What would be the proper solution in this case? Really need your braintrust right now!

Thanks in advance!

how about using fantisy forms to create the nails before the show then it would just be a matter of applying them on the day ,

this would be a really great question for our geek 'mum' aka marian newman.
she does loads of work at fashion shows with just this sort of thing involved.

i think the general idea is to do the work on tips well ahead of the event and include some spares for breakages and extra sizes and then they are fitted with strong double sided tape to last just through the show and be removed easily with no damage.

Yep Susan you're definitely on the right track

It's an unheard of and unnecessary 'luxury' to get models pre show. Plus I consider it to be very unprofessional not to take any nails off after the show so impractical anyway.

Mia the only realistic solution is to make all the nails in advance. I usually make 14 for each model to allow for different sized nails (I've found the safest is to make 2 sizes of thumb and little finger then have a ranges of sizes in between). Be very organised and have an organised team.

I do sometimes use adhesive for a show but models hate it! They have done so many shows where there is no one to remove the nails (or they don't have time to wait) so end up pulling them off and wrecking their own nails.

The cushioned sticky tabs are the best to use on a clean nail. I don't know what to suggest in Sweden. I think you'll just have to hunt around

Good luck
