Hi geeks,

just wondering if anybody ever tries to do their own eyelash extensions? Or is this pure insanity???

L x

Hi, yes, blink & go method works ;) no separation, just apply lashes from the top.

Yes I do my eyelashes myself. I also thought it would be insane to do on yourself but I had a go and have never looked back. I would only dothe cluster one on myself though----don't think I can ever try doing the semi permanent lahes on myself. I fix my cluster lashes from the bottom and not the top. It last a lot longer that way.

Cluster ones are easy to do on yourself.

I tried the semi permanent individual lashes and nearly punctured my eyeball trying to seperate the 1st lot of lashes! Never again!
I just wish I knew someone close to me to do a service swop!

Louby Lou has done her own indivdual lashes quite sucesssfully - she had a pic in her albums, god only knows how she didn't blind herself!!!!!:D

i done mine myself as well they looked not bad.. natural look i had to go for, i was just an express set i done rather than seperating the lashes but just doing it slightly :p

give it a try but it might take about 2 hours xxx

I have done my own lashes for about four years now!! I now do Express Lashes on mine and My picutres are on my profile. Practice practice practice!!;)

When you say express set, what lashes do you mean and do they last for 2 weeks and then have to be removed? I had a go adding some to ones I had done as I felt I needed more and managed to add them ok but am interested in how everyone else does their own? Thanks.:)

Yep i always do mine myself either the clusters or the semi-permanent i set myself up everything withing easy reach and then sit with mirror in front of me and off i go.

I have to admit with the semi-permanent ones i actually just put them anywhere but they always look full and non clumped together and they last so i was actually thinking of doing the same method on clients as im sick of doing sets and there not full enough because there is no lashes left to put anything onto!

I have poked myself once in the eye with the tweezers and it watered for days, not a good look!!

I did my own last week (would still love to do a swap with a nearby lasher but don't think there are many in my area)

I used the individual lashes. Tried seperating my lashes but it was pure madness trying to work back to front in the mirror with pointed tweezers and my eyes open!

Ended up just plonking them on along the top of my lashes and they look fine. Think I'll need to take them all off regularly and reapply tho as I'm sure my own lashes won't be able to shed naturally.

Well the ones I had done on Tuesday have all come off :irked: I am not happy £50 down the drain! I think I will have a go using individual ones trouble is my lashes are VERY sparce and trying to isolate just one lash will be a nightmare and I need thicker lashes I think!!

Am I right in thinking that express set means just laying them on top of your lashes rather than isolating individual lashes?

I tried once and they stuck all together. I now have a nearby lasher and we swap ;)

would love anymore tips on doing them myself.

Cluster lashes are no problem but i feel they ruin my lashes more than singular lashes. Ive never used y lashes but think they may half the time? as in better look for less faffing?

hi
i am in warwickshire so if anyone wants to do my lashes and in turn i will do there i am more than happy . have tried doing my own, oh what fun - think i need more time to practice lol xx

I just did my own express lashes last night. I find that difficult enough so no way I could do the isolated semi-perm ones. First time I tried it I got glue on my eyeball lol xx

whenever i get my lashes done, i always do my own!!

just keep everything in easy reach, usually on my dressin table and put the tweezers in my lashes, separate lashes and whilst pickin up the glue i blink and then pop the lash in from the top!

i love doing my own lashes, altho sometimes the glue stings my eyes!! i did have one accident when i first started but id never get them done by any1 else now, i love being able to save myself a fortune and do them myself!

good luck - u will easily get the hang of it ;)

xx
