I do occassionally get patches of dry skin on my face, but this is normally due to not taking mt make-up off at night (naughty naughty i know).
But recently I have religiously been taking it off and I seem to have got dry skin across my forehead and the area to either side of my nose-under my eye.
I moisturise twice a day, when I remove my make-up and i the morning before I apply my make-up.
I have tried applying the make-up straight after moisturising and also lettng the moisturiser soak in then appying make-up but nothing ssems to be working.
I do not want to change my foundation-I use Maybeline true match mouse and i feel it does the job.
If anyone has any suggestions they would be most welcome.

Hi,
This time of year a lot of peoples skins get dry, mainly due to the central heating and changes in temperature when we go outside and if you are not drinking enough fluids it can zap the moisture completely. This time of year you may need a more intensive moisturiser than what you would use in the summer so its a good idea to switch and exfoliation is key. Try to gently exfoliate once a week to slough off dry patches and your moisturiser will absorb better.

At night try a facial oil and take a few minutes to massage as this will boost circulation and supply nutrients to your skin keeping it healthy. And drink loads of water so you are not dehydrating.

I doubt its anything to do with your foundation, although you can get ones that are suited for more drier skins, but if you've been using it a while and its just lately you've noticed the dryness I would say its this horrible time of year!

Hope this helps

If you can try and exfoliate your skin at least twicw a week,to get rid of the superficail dry dead skin....your creams will then work better at moisturising fresh new skin underneath...

Again, facial oils are brilliant,,,,preferably pure and 100% natural as the skin will naturaly have an affinity to penetrate it.By using a facial oil you are correcting the heart of the problem,in your case the dryness...

A lovely thirst quenching mask after exfoliation is also the key for providing that "suppleness" back to the skin....:)

Thank you both so much.
I thought maybe exfoliation is the key, I shall begin making this part of my weekly routine.
Thanks again.
