Hi all! Recently got a an efile and I am wondering what RPM’s you all use?

My drill goes up to 35000 although I would never use it that high-

What do you put it at when you:
1. Prep the nail
2. Shaping
3. Removing product

Or do you use the same speed for all 3.

Thank you!!!

Your training course should cover this as well as which bits are suitable.
I buy my bits from Atwood industries and they have a recommended speed on them.

The reason I ask is because the course I took in cosmetology school had us using our drills on full capacity- which I now know is incorrect and super abrasive.

Although e-filing was covered on my college course I went on a private course as well as I felt there was more to learn. I would honestly recommend you do the same as it doesn't sound as if you had very thorough training. A good course will cover what bits and at what speed to use for different parts of the service.
