I struggle with L&P and now I have some poppits and have been having a play. Do you think that if I practice with the poppits I could get away with doing it the tradional way? Iam getting so down hearted and frustrated that I can't get the hang of it. I really feel like stopping.
What do you think Poppits or traditional.

I'm just feeling so low at the minute, when I practice and do a bad job I feel like crying.......I need a hug:hug:
I'm been stupid....or am I

If the Popits work well for you, why put so much pressure on yourself to do it the "traditional" way? Don't be discouraged! I have been a tech for 11 years and still have days where I feel like I am doing a poor job - although the clients don't seem to think so!

It takes a lot of time, practice and patience to perfect your craft - so don't be so hard on yourself. Learn with the Popits if you like and practice the traditional way until you are comfortable!

The traditional way is beautiful - a real art form in my opinion. However, I may never hand scuplture again if I can get away with it, as time is money and the Popits cut my time by over half! Why wouldn't you utilize a product that gives you beautiful results with hardly and work? Sounds like good business to me! The colored powders I use normally require a clear cap of l&p as you cannot file directly on the colored powder or lose the color. With the Popits I don't have to clear cap - saving me product and time as there is almost zero filing. Or, I can choose to have the first layer in my Popit be clear, add the color behind it, and still have no filing! Its a gift from the nail gods!

Chin up - with time and practice you can do this and do it well!

PopIts are so perfectly structured that often by using them you can learn how to build that structure by hand by copying what you see. It creates the perfect example for you.

PopIts create the perfect hand made nail. The only difference is that you apply your product with a PopIt instead of a brush.

Painters now use rollers instead of brushes to apply their paint. A roller is a different applicator ... a PopIt is a different applicator. There is skill in both methods. The great thing is that the result for the client is often better using PopIts than a person could do by hand .. certainly more consistent.

If your clients are happy ... YOU should be happy.

Thank you for you kind words, it means so much:hug:
I'm going to see if I can find a model and book myself on the poppits day

aww hun , dont feel down , we all get like this  hopefully if you come over i can give you a few pointers , god at one time i never thought i would do a "decent" set of nails !!
