Sorry geeks you've probably heard this loads of times but I have just done an eyelash tint for a client and she has ended up with a smudge mark of tint underneath where the eye protector was, I don't have any tint remover and I wondered if you have any suggestions as to what will get it off.

I have done loads of eye lash tints and always apply vaseline to stop such a thing from happening so am not sure what happened. The other eye was fine...

This is the first time it has happened to me and I told her that it will go (as if ever you get the 'eyeliner' effect it does go) but she is coming back to me tomorrow for a facial and I said if she can't get it off or is worried then to let me know but the truth is I am not sure what will get it off - especially as I can't get hold of any tint remover at such short notice.

Also, will anything get the tint off the day afterwards?

Help please

hi pink lotus,
well the brand 'hive' do a great eyelash tint stain remover, it gets it off the skin really well! But for now using a cleanser then an exfoliater over the area and rubbing the exfoliater gently over the skin where the tint is i have found reduces the stain and fades it well often getting it completly off the skin, then after this apply a little tintes moisturizer. Hope this helps!

Thanks sxi

Have been searching old threads and some of them mention milk - has anyone tried it the day after - does it work?

Hiya I think if she comes in tomorrow and she still has the stain from the tint, the facial will probably help lift it anyway, with all the cleansing, exfoliating and massaging it will defo lift, I work in a room within a hairdressers and sometimes i get clients in for facials after they have had their colour washed off and the facial generally tends to lift the staining from the hair dye that they get round theitr hairline.. and that can be a pain to get off!!! hope this helps oh also some hairdressers use milk to remove the dye left from hair dye I would guess this would help with eyelash tint! oh and another wee tip.. not related to your question but is good to know.. if you get hair dye/eyelash tint on your clothes/uniform.. spray it with hairspray straight away and it stops the dye staining as it doesnt give it a chance to set!!! so when you wash it it comes out!!! woo

Fantastic tip Nikki - I'll remember that one thanks!

Good point re: the facial - didn't think about that - perhaps I'll just spend a bit longer exfoliating that area!ha ha:wink2:

No worries hope everything goes ok! xx
