Hi all, I’ve tried to find the answer on another topic but I’m struggling, so if anyone could help me out or link a previous thread here I’d be very grateful.
I’ve just had an employee tell me today they are 7 weeks pregnant. I need to ring Hmrc when I’m out the salon but it’s proving difficult because I’m in work the times the office is open so I can’t call until Monday. I don’t want my team to hear me on the phone because there’s questions I will want to ask away from their ears.
As an employer, does the maternity pay have to be paid directly from me or does the government help at all? I’m really worried this is going to cripple my business I’ve literally slogged so hard at and leave me with very little... my minds been thinking of all sorts and left me very worried!!
Any help or advise would be gratefully received.
