I've been hearing about this brand recently in my area...I must admit I am not familiar with it at all! I've ben using NSI for years and am very loyal! A nail tech from my rival salon came in to visit me at my salon the other day raving about this 'Entity' she's been educated about!! We both trained with NSI at the same time and until recently her nail salon has also been loyal to NSI. She showed me samples of their nail tips as the majority of clients in our area favour tip & overlay, and to be perfectly honest I thought they just looked like cheap pieces of plastic next to my NSI elation tips!! But she continued to rave about their acrylic sysyem....

Could anyone please shed some light about this brand? Does anyone use it? How does it compare to other brands ie pros/cons??

When I got home I googled Entity and had a snoop on their website. I couldn't believe their acrylic nail brush is over £40 to buy!!!! I was shocked!!! My NSI one was under £20 and is stil going strong!!

Anyway...that was a bit of a ramt!! So any comments would be appreciated

xxxx

ive been using entity for 2 years, and i cant fault it.

That was exactly the impression I got from them!! They were totally dissing NSI saying its old technology and they have all the latest technology behind them. Fair enough everyone is entitled to their opinion but we dont have to lower ourselves to using playground tactics!!

Your comment is much appreciated xx

The thing I thought that was a bit wierd is that they have this American lady fronting them now who has been 5 times Canadian Champion....why not USA Champion....go figure!

she's really nice though cathy, and very motivational.
i'm surprised if there are some less than professional tactics being employed to sell it and disappointed.
to be honest i think the stuff is great and i would encourage people to give it a go if they get the chance, you might prefer it to the brand you are currently using.

She is not American. She lives in Canada and has all her life.

Ah, that's not how they're promoting it over here really.

Must be that she is part of the Entity USA team and a Canadian also. As in part of the International Team?

Thanks for clearing that up

I love it!:) I've been using it since it was released hear in Australia, its a 1.5 to 1 ratio really easy to work with, you have the option of a signature liquid or a slower setting one(can't recall what it is called). There is a good range of pinks from coverage(nudite range) to pinkest pink(5 in all) as well as natural and clear. You also have a choice of three whites so you can even blend something to suit any client. I've used opi, creative, ezflow and a few local brands and I think its the best product I've used.
I don't like to hear that there has been dissing of other products because it is a great product and its unnecessary. They do seem to have reqruited a number of really great nail tech from around to help promote it not only Americans.

To change brands involves a lot of expense. If you are happy with NSI then why change just for the sake of it? Why get caught up in all the hype? If it ain´t broke don´t fix it!

I'm really sorry, but where do they 'diss' NSI? Is it on a seperate thread? :irked: I am just interested as I have heard a lot about entity too, but currently use NSI.

I tested Entity too... and I enjoyed it but I still stick to Opi for acrylics.

still, I thought Entity was easy to work with, and the powder was nice, it was drying in the right time for me (a little faster than opi, so perfect for a normal set, not accurate for long nails)

as for the brush, mine are also really expensive so I can't really tell if it's worth it or not because I didn't try their brush yet. only the powders, the form, the c curve sticks and some files.

It's a competitive market, with lots of products available, all saying theirs is better than the others. It gets quite confusing at times, I use what feel right for me, giving me good results and longevity.

If I had a problem, I'd look to solve it, even though I often try new products (out of curiosity) and if you don't try, you don't know. There's no point staying in the dark.

Get a sample kit and try it on yourself (see what you think of it) rather than being influenced by others.

There can be no harm in trying something new (even if it's just to take you out of the "norm" and have a play with something different.

I got a great Entity kit free with my subscription to Scratch in January. Im yet to try it, but I will get round to it!

I am using NSI attraction at the minute, I have just done a four week rebalance on a pregnant mum of two who doesn't believe in wearing gloves and seems to constantly have her hands in water washing baby clothes or in sterilising fluid and she came with no lifting at all! I was amazed! Its made me sure not to change because I'm quite happy,

Like said before, if your happy with your system and customer services then don't change, xx

This is from personal experience speaking to an Entity technician and the attitude she had, I though it was maybe just her, but have heard similar stories from other people. It's nothing to do with any topics on any thread on this forum.

I've just bought the Entity kit at Olympia as I thought it was very reasonably priced. I have been using it on my clients and I have to say I'm very impressed with it.

I like the mix ratio plus it's quite a 'soft' acrylic so when buffed it is smoother (not sure if that makes any sense but it did in my head!!). It also buffs to the most amazing shine with hardly any effort.

I'm going to continue with it for now and I hope it continues to be a great product.

colored powders are on their way ;);)

OK. For all you who may be aggravated at, or even interested in, Entity beauty, here is what I know to this point. I do not use it, although it seems to be a great product. Kind of a "Rolls-Royce" compared to all of us that use CND which is great, but maybe a "Cadillac". I don't use it because it is pricey and I try to be economical. If there was a huge difference, then I would switch no doubt. But I went directly to their site which is entitybeauty.com and found nothing about the founders. Tom Holcomb, and Tom Bachik started this enterprise. (or at least that is what I thought) They are leading men here in the states for their skills. Winners of many, many, competitions over the last twenty years.

Their whole thing was that they wanted a product line designed by Nail Techs, FOR Nail Techs. Tom Holcomb was many years ago, a GALAXY (Tammy Taylor type product) Educator. He is one of the best I've ever seen. But I think the product is kind of a Take off of all the other TT type ones. You know, etch, Form, white, 2 zones pink, pinch in a c-curve, and voila! A beautiful nail if you can do it. It is a softer product but sometimes that is not a great thing. I don't know if another entity (LOL) bought them out, or if they were only front men like this Canadian gal. Either way, they are well placed, and seem to be growing in respect in the Nail community here in the states. Thats all for now. (and NO, I do not talk this much in person.) LOL:lol:

If your happy with NSI then why change hun.xx
