Hi
I am looking for a second skincare brand to stock along side my current brand which I love but I am wanting to specialise in skin treatments and so this would help broaden my clients range. I really like the sound of environ and had considered it years ago before you had to purchase the machine. I would really like to use this brand as it definitely different to what I use.

But there is a salon not too far away that stocks it but doesn't appear to have the machine to use in treatments according to the environ stockist finder. So I am unsure if I would be considered for this. And so I just wondered if anybody knew what their radius clause is?

All so with the other salon being in the same town I'm unsure that it would be a good thing to do. So I really need to look at alternatives but I am stuck. I have briefly looked into medik8, dermaquest and image skincare. Does anybody currently use these or any brands similar that could tell me what the support is like, training and how it has gone down with your clients.

Many thanks :)

Personally I thought exactly like you did about environ and I LiVe in the country it is made ! And at one stage every single salon in our country practically stocked it ! So I thought no ways !!
Anyhow years later I decided to buy it in because HEY this stuff actually DOES work miracles I kid you not! I sell so much of it and I think it is due to the passion I have myself of the brand because of my own results seen!

So yes get it in!
Clients come to you for your specialised client service or facials etc so the more personalised your service offered the better client retention you should be able to maintain !

Why don't you have a look at Nimue, it is also South African skincare. Nimue is the number one brand in SA. I have just taken Nimue in my salon and the results are fab. I get great support and we are doing a skin analysis event to launch Nimue at the end of March

Sorry love I beg to differ it has intact been withdrawn from most salons in South Africa sooooo ja afraid your information given to you was very incorrect or perhaps part of their marketing scheme.

The most popular high end professional brands in South Africa currently are : environ, dermalogica, regime A, clarins, Gatineau,

Anyhow it's upto the OP to make her choice, I suggest you ask for samples from the reps and go to another salon and actually experience the facial yourself from a client perspective , do the course of treatments so you know why you wish to invest in a brand. Not everyone likes one product in the world hence there is a need for variety!

Good luck xxx

Can anybody tell me where the environ training is based? Xx

Hi, thanks for you your reply. I did not know it has been withdrawn from South African Salons, do you know why as I have just took this brand on and would like to know.

I am going to speak with the rep on my area tomorrow.

I am pleased though with my support and training so far, the results that I am getting with the products are far better that any of the above.

Heaven range is really nice and it's good

Environ is a pharmacy brand in South Africa and is about 1/4 of the price here! Crazy isn't it!

Yes it's gutting when clients say they're in SA a lot so can buy it over there.

Environ South Africa is not the same brand you get overseas. We do not get AVST range at all.
So you can still set yourself apart from the Sa brand environ.

And it is not a cheap brand in our country either. It is middle to upper price bracket from the original range and the cquence premium range is HIGH end.
Prices converted would be maybe with my salon discount 50% less then the uk rrp BUT only due to the rand pound exchange.

I said nimue has been withdrawn from salons out of their own choice not meaning the company has pulled the plug.
Lots of salons who used to stock nimue exclusively do not and most have stopped using them. (I can't just estimate a % as I do not know exact figures) Their advertising in another country or use Therof has no baring on our market so if you like the product then use it.

Overall I love environ and the results are amazing

What do you mean saying it is a pharmacy brand?
They have discontinued their direct sales branch over 4 years ago and have re structured their company to be exclusively salon branded. You can't stock environ without attended and passing a week training and getting over 80% in practical and theory exam and you need to stock the entire range and keep up orders of huge amount target per year or they will withdraw the brand from your salon.

That's really interesting. I'm sure my client said her daughter bought it over the counter.

Certainly compared to the UK, prices over there are cheap although my clients daughter bought her cquence and my client is on avst so not such a good buy.

Environ is simply the best thing I've ever used and I retail plenty - even with clients bringing it back from SA.

I wanted clarity on the pharmacy brand she is making reference to. I know some beauty chain stores do keep environ but they are also subject to the same rules but environ can't actually control each and every sale that happens within these salons.
But the salons stockists would have to meet those criteria in order to be stockists.

They did have a direct sales branch meaning they did actually have certain hair salons and certain pharmacy outlets who sold environ to the public and they went to some training but we're not therapists so they have closed that sales section down and only supply the route of salon stockist Which is the point I was hoping to get across without adding more confusion.
Or in my explanation of my idea of pharmacy outlet.

Thanks for tor reply and I also believe if you offer a good treatment and service your clients will be loyal and support you. There is always going to be some one who try's to buy it somewhere else cheaper , we can't avoid those people.

Best of luck :)

Hi Nailpod,

I use Environ so I don't need convincing. My point is that I was in a pharmacy in Joburg before Christmas last year and seen Environ (the Environ we use here in the UK) for sale there and yes at 50% less (which is alot cheaper, exchange rate or no exchange rate). So technically it is a pharmacy brand in SA.

Hi
I spoke with my Nimue rep regarding you mentioned Nimue being withdrawn from salons, she informed me that this was incorrect.

I also was show information regarding Nimue being the number one cosmeceutical brand in South Africa

Nimue is not a pharmacy brand or available on the high street aswel as ebay or any other web sites

Nimue is a prescription by therapist only which makes it better for the salon

We are doing lots of treatments and the results are great in the short time we have had it in the salon. Retail is easy as it sells itself

I so happy for you . P.s cosmeceutical is an illegal word tell your rep to do her homework!

Is cosmeceuticle an illegal word in S.A? Never heard this before but I'm in the UK...

When is your rep visiting? I've got Wendy coming out to see me next week, and I'm wondering how your visit went and what you think?
