How do/did you gain experience in the beginning of your nail careers? I mean, did you go mobile and build up clients from the beginning of passing your course, jump in at the deep end and work in a busy salon, working in a quiet salon building a client base or slowly doing just family or friends?
When do you count yourself as a nail technician? i.e Your qualified in the basics- mani/pedi/ foundation enhancements but not experienced- does that qualify you to call yourself a nail tech?
I often just browse job sections but always dismissed the ad's looking for a 'nail technician' as I dont feel like one yet, when does this come in your career?
Luckily I have a job in the beauty industry already so don't have the 'need' to find work or I'd never apply for anything I'm qualified in!
I think I often want to run before I can walk...
