Hi all,

Has anyone been having problems with NSI UV balance gels? I have prepared my clients nails properly and (as far as i'm aware) applied them correctly too! But they just don't last longer than 48 hours! More than 1 client has advised me of this and i am beginning to believe i have had a "bad batch" from NSI.. Is this possible?

Can anyone help?

All my regards,

Jules x

I have never had any luck with the balance gel, i only use it on toes now and stick to good old trusted L&P for fingers,
i have a rep from NSI coming next week to do a demo with the gels as i was so fed up with them.

Hey again perhaps you should have a look in to another gel system i love Bio Sculpture and i know that calgel is fab as well . Defo worth thinking about any ways!!!! xx

im the same with the balance gels feet fine last weeks and weeks but with fingers they fall off in days! i have no idea why as i do exactly the same prep and application to both. i also stick to attraction on fingers now.

Just spent £200 on brand new products with NSI and binned the old ones in the hope of getting on well with "the new batch"

We use NSI Balance in the salon and dont have any problems now, but we did in the beginning.

You may think you are doing the same application on fingers and toes but I bet you are being more thorough with your toe prep. I discovered I was.

You really need to prep very well with NSI balance on fingers, and the base layer of gel has to be really worked in. If the base layer is secure then the other layers should bond. Always remember and cap the free edge too.

Be careful not to flood around the eponychium and you should be fine.

If they are falling off, they weren't on properly in the first place:hug:

Thanks Lisa! You make a great point with the base layer. We recommend a thin "lock-in" layer to start and then build on top of that. While a bad batch isn't completely out of the question, I doubt that is the issue. It sounds as though some application techniques need to be tweeked. Watch some of our online videos and see if you are missing a step during prep or application that might help you.

You just need to be registered on the site to view them. If you aren't, go to NSI - nail systems international.

Best of luck to you!

What a great site, just watched the videos! I bought a pack of the sculptor kit at the Excel beauty show at the weekend, and had a play. Wish I'd seen this video first though!!:green:

i use nsi balance gels and i love them.ive had clients come back for a rebalance 5 weeks after i applied them she wasnt a nail biter though, ive got pics in my album.i have also got pics of a nail biter that i did and although they didnt last more than a week i know thats because of the client rather than my application as she picks, bites and washes up with no gloves on.
i agree that although it is possible to have a bad batch i think its more likely to be your application.
have you tried phoning nsi to speak to a tech? they are so helpful.x

Hey and thank you all for your advice, thank you too to jlburkhardt as i have watched the videos you recommended and feel i have new confidence with my products!

Will let you know how i get on

Kindest Regards,

Jules x
