Hi girls I've been qualified in hair extensions for 10years but due to having children colleges and work commitments at the time I didn't habe the time to fully commit to my hair extension business.

I've recently had my third baby and have been trying to build up a client base before lock down and before I had baby ive only had two clients.

Can someone look at my recent work as I'm losing my confidence and don't understand why I'm not getting work. Am I not as good as I think. Help me out im stressing and feeling really down.

What's the best way to advertise?? How do i get my work seen and name out their.

This took me 5hrs to fit 150gram sticktip hair extensions. I take my time doing fittings as I dont like to rush my work. I charge from £280 for hair extensions and did an offer of £70 to fit own hair which I dont really like to do as I prefer using my own supplier as I know the hair quality is good...I don't know if it's my prices or my work putting people off. :( xx

Hi there, it does take a while to build up a client base it doesn't happen over night. Do you have any social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, Website ? You could advertise for models to build up a portfolio are you a hairdresser ? If you are chat to your clients about extensions, talk about the benefits of them, adding volume to fine hair, instant colour, I think you just have to get out there and let people know you are there. Your clients hair looks great, if my clients recommend a friend I give them a discount off their hair. The more fittings you do you will gain speed. You have to price for what you are worth, you don't want to be working for nothing xx

Unfortunately I'm not a hairdresser and I know hair extensionists who aren't hairdeessers get slated. But I've invested alot of money into training.

I was thinking of doing models so I can try and build a client base up. Then I don't want to just charge for hair and then do fittings for free. Unless I charge a bit extra to make some profit. Yes I do have facebook but struggling to get my work seen. Definitely try the model option. Thank you for your honesty xx

What method of extensions do you do ? Also instagram is a great platform, you could do models and offer a percentage off the total price rather than just charging them for the hair, I find on facebook the best thing to do it post everyday taking about the benefit of of extensions, show examples of how extensions can be used to add instant colour or maybe just volume. Talk about the method you use, the type of hair, colours ombre balayage etc you need to create an interest, educate clients about extensions lots of clients to be will have lots of questions maybe do a FAQ :)

The photos look great.

Try taking photos or videos of the application process. I find this helpful when trying to gain new clients as its the part that clients worry about.

Hi, remember that, if you to get water from ground, you must keep digging to one point till get water.
About your work I would like to see bondings for have idea. Check my works for example.

Ofcourse it’s importand how hair look, but there are somethings more important than looks.

-is it any cause of lost hair? When you remove extensions if customer lost own hair, not important how wonderful look like your art ;)

-how much time durable? (For exp; my customers can use over 7 mount without fall down bondings or hair, but dont reccommendlonger time than that.

-is it confortable and easy to use next 7 month after extension. Sleeping, washing, visibility, hair structure & quality etc..

you’re doing nice with searching how to develop ypurself and bussines :) I can recomment that simply rule; “dont try to earn money, but try to earn customer and trust. Money will come from itself also with running :) Key for that way is loving your work, and see every of your work as an art masterpiece which has signature from you.

Best regards, and sorry for my english,I’m not good at grammer :)

Keep advertising . I get a lot of responces from face book for selling groups. Advertise as models wanted at discount rate , say 50 . Say bring own hair or I can get quotes from reliable companies. From doing this I still have these girls as clients.

I read for 10 enquiries expect one client which is so true.

I've been doing A year and only have like 4 regulars plus a few others here Nd there but slowly it will get more and more.. Sharron insta and Facebook get loads of pics of under the hood aswell and videos then u have a bit of content to post during quieter times. It is slow and loads of people do it too but don't give up.
Use lockdown to practise on a manaquin or train or practise curling ect Xxx
