Hi

Hoping some of you hair geeks can offer a bit of advise?

I lost all my hair due to chemo which started in August. Finished chemo Dec and my hair is now about 1.5 inches all over. Before chemo I always had extensions as I`m just not a short hair type of gal. Question is, how long do you think my hair would need to be to have bonds fitted? I have some fab wigs which I will wear till I can have my (well not my hair someone elses ) long hair back.

Thanks in advance

xxx

Hi chick...

Well your situation is different than mine...but I lost ( pulled out ) ALL my hair due to trichotillomania.

Now I can show you pictures so PM me if you need to...

but I went to a place in Kent called Wattz International.
Chemotherapy Hair Loss. Wattz International - Chemotherapy Hair Loss Replacement Systems.

She specialises in hair loss of all types and she was fantastic with me and I credit her with my recovery.

I had wefts of real hair attatched to my 'hair'. Now when I had this done I literally had about 5mm of hair...
and what it did do is give me back my self esteem.

Visit her website....there is some FAQ on there and photo's of how she has transformed people who have had chemo.

Best of luck...and I hope wherever you go you get what you want.
And best of luck with your recovery xxxxxxxxxxxx

Racoon has a new hair system designed for fragile hair called Hair in Recovery - check out the website

I had a look at Wattz International and I can see the results were amazing  unfortunatley I`m up in Scotland so a wee bit too far away for me but thanks so much for taking the time to send me the info :)

I am going to have a look at the racoon website, thanks for that xxx
