I want to do an intricate design on a nail and although I have a lot of nail art brushes, I do not feel that they will be thin enough to acheive the intricacy of the design. Im almost looking for a 'pen' brush is there is such a thing.

Any ideas???

Have you tried looking in your local craft store at the professional artists brushes, some of these are good, hth

Not sure if its any help but i sometimes just cut away the extra hairs from my brushes. I have some with only 1-2 hairs hanging on there...and they are the best:lol:

thats exactly what i suggest.
never pluck hairs from the base of the brush though or it will cause all the bristles to come loose, but its perfectly safe to carefully trim them away at the base.

additionally i would suggest that you choose a sable brush because it can absorb more paint than a synthetic one and will perform well despite only having the minimum amout of hairs.

ooh good idea, thanks susan

hello,
I'm using Kolinsky brush No 0/10 for tiny details... but it's not entirely the issue of the brush but the paints you use.... you would want to make your paints very runny to achieve really tiny thin lines... hope it''ll help a bit...
