Hi Geeks

I went to a different salon yesterday to have my eyebrows waxed and found it alot more painful than usual

When you wax eyebrows do you wax to the outside of the head or to the centre towards the nose, I hope that makes sense :irked: I have never noticed before how it is done as I am usually taking but this girl waxed towards the nose. Is this right? I thought you waxed in the direction of the hair growth?

Wax goes on in same direction as hair growth and gets removed in opposite direction of hair growth. Certain waxes feel different and make up different consistencies. They probably used a cheaper wax than your usual place and you are not used to it. Some waxes are made for sensitive areas, course vs fine hair and others are a all in one...You can be more sensitive to waxing if you are close to your period, have been drinking alcohol, been in the sun, or using products that contain Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA's) or glycolic acids( or other acids on the skin).

Thank you for explaining that to me, I will wait in future and go to my usual salon. :)
