Hello everyone!

I'm new to individual eyelashes and wondering if I could get some advice from professionals on my practise work?
I can take constructive criticism as I'm still new and got lots to learn!

Hi,
I'm fairly new to lashing myself but as no one else has replied yet then here's my two cents worth!

The most important thing I noticed is that a number of the extensions seem to be touching the skin which is very damaging to the natural lash. Try placing them a little bit away from the lash line.
Make sure you spend as much time as you need to ensure good isolation as if you get any 'stickies' then this also will damage the natural lashes. (I'm a little bit passionate about the health of lashes )
You also have a lot more lashes that could be lashed, which will obviously give a much better finished result. But if it's a choice between applying fewer lashes and doing them well vs getting more lashes on but not taking the care then always always go for the first option!

Everyone will tell you that it's practise practise practise, and you will wonder if that is really true for you-but I promise that it is!! You will get quicker the more you do so focus on your technique and the rest will happen more naturally.
Hope that helps but definitely keep going and I wish you all the best!

Thank you for your reply! It's really appreciated, I'm a bit of a nervous lasher but I'm starting to feel better. I'm still getting friends and family members to let me do their lashes to get my confidence up! I take forever at the moment to do them but I'm hoping with time I will get quicker! Thank you so much xx

Don't worry, I take AGGEEEEEESSS too I find I just have to time myself now and stop lashing after 2hrs (I could easily take about 3 ) and then it takes me about 15mins to go through and check for stickies and tidy things up. I always know I could have done more but the clients have always loved the result so I think we're harder on ourselves than we need to be.
Just get out there and try doing it on new clients, that will boost your confidence the quickest! We all have the odd day that goes wrong but don't let it knock you x

Well done on not giving up. Lashing for the first time is pretty scarey. I think you could be using too much glue. Or maybe you are using the swipe method with the glue. Generally you only need a small amount on the end and you should be able to just lightly land the extension on the natural lash and the glue will act as a magnet and stick. No need to swipe. Remove your extension slowly from the glue blob which prevents a big dollop ending up on the extension before placing.
