Whenever I’m doing eyelash extensions on a client, I put the pad on right but I always end up sticking their eyes closed? How do I stop doing this?! It’s really frustrating me because it’s not professional at all!!

I have this problem
Mine get stuck to the pad.. it’s horrible for the client, how do you get these unstuck using what method?

Have you tired taping the eyelid slightly like you would for a hooded eyelid?

I have been doing lashes around 8 months now, when I am doing lashes, every now and then I will lift the clients eyelid slightly to ensure nothing’s stuck to the pad. I explain to the client what I am doing, everyone is fine with it.

Lashgeek02 is right, check as you go and lifting the lid slightly. Do you think you may be using too much glue?

Thank god i'm not the only one.

Hey girl.
I don't know whether you mean the lashes get stuck to the pad or the lashes under?

I had the problem. What you need to do is go through double protection. After applying the pad, apply tape. Even though you think you have applied the pad correctly, there still might be little bottom lashes sticking out. I take 2 little bits of tape, one going from each corner for each eye.

The case of the client having different eyes and lashes actually sticking to the pad, I apply little bit of tape to lift their eyelids. I take maybe a 5cm long tape, put one edge near their lash line, lift the skin of the eyelid and then stick the other half on their forehead/just past eyebrows (make sure the eye is not open when that is done as that will frustrate the customer's eyes)

I've attached pictures, maybe that will make more sense. I know it looks a bit weird but works like magic. Sometimes I have decided to go ahead without the extra tape on top of the pad, as soon as I do that, some lashes have came out and the eyes got stuck.

Hope this helps!
