Hello girls
Sorry im a nail tech and looking at adding to my qualifications. I would like to do eyelash extensions but there are so many to choose.
I work out of a hairdressers which sadly doesnt have a beauty room avail for me to have a table/bed, so im looking at ones that i can offer the client if poss to be sitting in a chair.. Is this possible?
Also money is a factor at the moment so nothing overly pricey.
Im also mobile if that helps althou i think carting a big table round would be a nightmare in clients houses if not big enough space etc...

Advice would be grand.
Thanks

Hey!!

I would like to do Jinnys ... or at least I think its called Jinnys, the onesthat katie price has, those! OR flirties maybe!!

xx

I really really would love to do Nouveau Lashes but so expensive to train... I know i would make the money but im also selfemployed with 2 kids. Money is quite tight.
xx

Yes, building up a skill set can be expensive!! I'll keep my eyes peeled for you, I try to network as much as possible on facebook too! xx

Have a look at abx, i-lash designer course. I trained with them and it was fantastic!

thanks kel! ive found one in manc on may 10th, ill give them a call tomorrow. how did you rate it? Id like to be able to do lashes like katie price has!! xx

Glam Lash all the way, good quality products that wont cost you an arm and a leg... they are growing within the industry and becoming a big competitor

I thought it was excellant. I have been on other comapnies training since and am amazed at what some dont even cover as standard! I think you really do need to have the best foundation to build on. Good luck with your search xx

I am a flirties girl, i am also a trainer so you can call me biased if you like. lol. training is 1 to 1, excellent customer service, fast delivery and products. you can search flirties on here.

my friend went for abx last year because it was cheaper she ended up in a class of 8 students working on each other so half the time was spent with their eyes closed not actually learning anything and then she managed to get 8 lashes on per eye and was certified on the same day!! She now wants extra training off me. just something to think about. Everyone has their own opinions but search search and then search again its your hard earned cash you are handing over. There are a few new flirties techs around you can ask for their opinions on training j0-anne, glitz, i think tweezer happy too.

good luck with your training and if you want info on flirties pm me :smack:

Im not a trainer so I am unbiased:biggrin::wink2:
Actualy that must be a differant training? With the I-Lash course you have to carry out case studies and do not get passed if they are not good enough. You also have models to work on, not manequin heads or each other, so I am very shocked by this comment. I know that this is still the case with their training as I sat in on a course last year!
Did your friend do the course at a college or something, (where they just use kits from various compnaies)? I would love to know! (out of curiosity, not being argumentative)

I orginally trained with Hollywood lashes a in 2008, but never really felt confident and like one of the previous posters mentioned we never really got the chance to actually apply many lashes due to the fact that we had to model for eachother!!

I decided to change to Flirties recently and love it!! Training was excellent and I feel sooo much more confident now!

Thank you girls. Sorry if started argument but will investigate some more as do need to save some pennies. Its so expensive to do anything these days. xxx

Hi, Have a look at our website or pm me if you need details.
Lou x

I trained with Glam Lash and really loved it, the kit you get is fab and has all the essentials to get you started. Small class size, and only working on a model :) Training is of an average price, but the kit is where you make the big savings.

Also have to say that when I was looking at who to train with, Lash Xpert (same as ABX and i-Lash) was 3 students and you brought a model.

Good luck xx

OK, me and my curious mind again, lol:biggrin:
I just had to find out about this ABX training situation, as I would hate to give anyone wrong info intentionaly! So, I spoke to one of the trainers today.
Apparently, for a short time, ABX was running a less expensive course, where you worked on each other. They then felt, following customer feedback etc, that this wasnt the way forward, so they went back to the way Im familiar with and a model is needed for each delegate again, (been this way again for quite a while)
I did the I-Lash designer course with them, so I must admit it was the more full on and most thorough training option that they do. Again, I feel I want to know EVERYTHING when I go on a course, lol so it was worth it for me to pay a bit more. Hope that clears that up. I do love a fact find mission lol:D:D

sorry only just clicked on this link again, yes she did do the course as i said and was in fact passed on the day for it, i was only sharing her experiences having been on courses where i have felt cheated myself i wouldnt want anyone to feel like that, im sure the course is very good now i dont think its good to work on other students as you get your time taken away by having your eyes closed for half your training when you could be practicing
