Hi

I was just wondering if anyone had done a course in this?

Or what eyelash treatements there are. i.e. semi permenant

Do you get a lot of business from this?

I am interested in doing a course (not sure which one - yet)! But have noticed people charge quite a lot for this treatment so was wondering if there was other treatments like this that may be last 1 or 2 weeks and i take it the more expensive ones last months??

Thanks for any helpx

Hi Hayey,
when I did my BTEC beauty therapy course it included eyelash extension, they are really hard and fiddly to attach and that's why this treatment is expensive. Like the eyelasht treatmet, this treatment is not popular with my clients, they have reported that the end results are very good, but this treatment takes a long time for eyes to be worked on. Having said that, this treatment can be introducted whilst doing make-up, this would hopefully encourage clients to take a liking to this treatment making it more popular. Hope this is helpful. :)

I have done a course in lashes, and train people in them.

If applied correctly they should last the life time of your natural lash (about 2 month)

For Flirties the guide price to charge is anything form £85-£125 but its up to you, you can charge less or more. I know some salons charge anything form £150-£300.

Its definitely some thing that it gettin more and more popular.

Hi Everyone!

Most Eyelash Extensions last 2-3 weeks, depending on the glue.

there are different types the ones we learnt on level 2 beauty last up to two weeks but hollywood lashes / flirties etc last the life of the last as said above

I use Nouveau Lashes and they last around 2 months. Its a good treatment to offer but very very fiddley (I feel a little cross eyed after doing a set at times!!)
Like anything what you charge is your call (so long as your making a profit of course) they are becoming more popular as treatments now but I reckon the effects fo the credit crunch will affect this as a treatment, in that very few people will see lash extensions as a necessity.
I do get business from this but not as much as I get for nails waxing and lash tinting.

I don't do Nouveau Lashes, but my friend carries this out in Kent, she charges £95 per set, but she has been doing it a long time. its not easy, I did another brand, and thought I was good, happy buzzing along, until I saw hers and mine looked lame!

most can do it OK, but its a bit of a, you have got it or you ain't, to be really fast and good.
