How much does everyone charge for semi permanent eyelash extension infils and maintenance?

I had a client 4 weeks ago complaining today that she needs them infilling and she paid £45 4 weeks ago, as i explained to her she hadnt had her infils done for nearly 6 weeks so more work for me to do etc plus she had asked for them longer last time (which i advised not to due to length and thickness of her own lashes) that she just cut down as they were too long. I had to spend time removing those lashes as they looked terrible and reapply really i feel i could have charged for a full set I was there for 2 hrs. while i was doing these lashes she did pass a few hints that they were doing full sets for £30 in bolton and infils at £20!!! I just said oh well that may be due to whatever products they are using and may be training etc. didnt go into but thought oh here we go she thinks i should do them that cheap.

Anyway when i left she was very happy and tonight she calls me up at 9.30pm saying what can i do for her as its eid tomorrow and its only been weeks and they are shorter than the last time!! she asked for them shorter, she wanted me to do them now and for £20!! I just said sorry I cant help you its too late this evening im fully booked tomorrow and plus I do not negotiate on prices. She said she will have to find somewhere else that do them for £20 I was fine about it and just said well if thats how she feels its up to her but she is always more than happy with the lashes when they are done. Oh and she said oh since your mobile it should be cheap I said well not really with the rising cost of fuel, car insurance, tax, mileage plus the convenience of the appointment at a time to suit etc I think she was trying to get a freebie! The annoying thing is I was going to offer all my xmas lash clients a discount off their next infil for jan I dont know if i should even bother.

anyway just wondered what everyone else charges. Thank you

the more i think about it the more annoyed im getting she has just called me again at 10pm asking me if i will just redo them for her, I think she is just skint and doesnt want to pay i have done a search of my area and my prices are pretty average, she said in the past if she has been unhappy with something then they will normally redo them or something so now im thinking she complains often for free treatments. I said the cheapest i would do the infils for is th £35 as its been 4 weeks since i last did them, i think im right but input from other geeks, she said they were fab the last few weeks now they need redoing! well erm thats what infils are! ok no more rant.

grateful for advice x

Sorry no advice, but I think you are right to stick to your prices. If I asked for something and then later changed my mind (especially if advised not to get it done) then I wouldn't even dream of asking for them to be fixed at a cheaper price xx

What is it with some people? What a bloody cheek!!
I think what I would be asking myself is...do I really need this client?
Some of them are just more hassle than they are worth. I'd never dream of doing that!!!
And when will people start to realise that NO mobile Therapists should NOT be cheaper. Ok we have no rent to pay, but like you said fuel etc and the hour we loose money on going too and from.
Stick to your guns chick. You've worked and practised hard at them lashes...not to be taken the p out of xxx

Thanks

its not that she even changed her mind, they need infilling and she thinks they should last longer between infils or at least only be £20 I dont need her as a client normally i go out of my way to make people happy but this time i can see she thinks im just a pushover and going to give her a free set of lashes.

Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do for some clients does it, they are just never happy!
I really have no time for these people. I get it with spray tanning quite a lot 'oh down the rd is only 15 pounds' Oh well go down the rd then!!!! ha ha xxx

Hi
I think you did right to stick to your guns!!! You did exactly what she asked for and she knows the price you charge. If she already knew about the other salon offering infills for £20 she had the freedom to go to them instead.

I charge £35 for infills at 3 - 4 weeks, if that helps.

As for mobile therapists being cheaper, I dont think that should be the case. Not only do you have all the costs incurred with travelling between clients there is the time factor too. Clients also have the luxury of you coming to them.

Thanks Lee

I think my prices are inline with others infact i think that i should charge more but as soon as march comes i will increase slightly.

Think she is just after a freebie. the more i think about it from our conversation last time i did her lashes i got the feeling she wanted me to do them for £20 then too. Like i said 'wow! thats cheap, wonder what sort of products they are using and how long they last?' i told her to give me the name of salon i might have a look myself and she conveniently couldnt remember name or what road it was on.

oh well i just hope she doesnt call for another appointment, if she does i will tell her straight sorry i dont feel that we can continue our professional relationship as i now feel that she isnt 100% happy with my services, and I do not negotiate on prices, they are set on my website and the same for all clients.

i think your prices are more than reasonable. that is a bargain in my mind. i do believe you are right not to reduce her cost, imagine if you did and she started telling all her friends. they would all be wanting this price and before you know it you'd be doing twice the work for half the money. if a client doesnt respect the skill involved enough not to quible on the price then i think its best for their peace of mind to go to another place. continuing a relasionship on this level only leads to resentment in the end.

lash extensions are a luxury, and clients shouldnt expect you to subsidise their luxuries. its a very fair price for a good job.
