I use Amirose and really happy with the products and results hth

I use salon systems at the moment and think its ok but am looking to buy some new products soon, hopefully should see something good at excel next weekend.

i think they are all pretty much the same the only thing that i find that alters the results are the rollers i have used salon system and found it was fine but the replacement rollers that you buy are different to the ones supplied in the pack x

Some have different glue and therapists can have problems with it sticking, good quality glue is essential. Some of the rollers can be too sticky so that if you place roller in wrong position it's hard to re position as very sticky:irked:

Thanks Babs i will order the Amirose.

Try to avoid perming, as its quite old fashioned, an LVL shield gives a better shape, more of a lift. 3D do some good stuff.

Another problem is if the lashes have been permed, they cant have individual lash extensions (until it drops out)

Hi there su could you tell me what a lvl sheild is, ive never heard of this. Thanks X

Salon system do the shields too - its called lash lift - very reasonable - gave them a go and the whole perming process was much easier, but it is a lift and the curl is very subtle - whereas a perm on a roller rod curls more.

Like both methods.

LVL for me too!

I dont think eyelash perming is old fashioned at all.I have lots of ladies who love it.:green:

Does anyone have any links on the LVL please - they sound interesting :)

I always do a tint and perm before i do my lash extensions !!

I use Thuya for eyelash perming and tinting. I like the fact that they come in sachet form and you can get more than one treatment out of a sachet.

With regards to the LVL - ABX Beauty (ABX Beauty Products - UK Based Beauty Products Distributors & Trainers) sell iappeal which I believe is similar and don't quote me but as long as you are trained in eyelash perming you can use these products.

Personally I love eyelash perming and don't think it is old fashioned at all - just wish I could get it done myself!

Oh yes forgot to say, I looked into the LVL training (I believe you have to be trained to use their products?!) and it was way too expensive for me which is how I found the i-appeal as an alternative.

Does anybody on here use i-appeal?

AH francis are the best - I've tried salon systems and thuya and it's not very strong and doesn't lift very well - ah francis stuff gets a great result and the perming effect lasts a good 2 months

www.lvl-lashes.co.uk

personally I'm not a big fan of LVL and neither was my friend when she came as a model for me on the training day. I much prefer lash perming.

I did LVL on myself recently - looked great first of all but it's dropped a bit now and the lashed have dropped unevenly and are sticking out straight - whereas when i perm it lasts ages and when it drops naturally it drops evenly and subtly and you don't notice it.

I'd stick to lash perming if I were you - I've done loads and get a great result - I'm personally not that impressed with LVL - it's a well marketed brand but I'm taking it off my treatment menu.

Having said that looks like a few people on here like it so best to make up your own mind - if you do the course however I'd advise just buying the bits you need - they'll try and get you buy all manner of stuff you don't really need like the anti wrinkle gel pads - what a con - nothing to do with the lifting process - jsut a way of them making more money

the LVL tool is great though and I use it for lash perming - it's like a little dentist tool and you can lift up the lashes one by one without trying to do it with fingers

all you need is glue, lifitng balm and fixing serum to get the result - don't be conned into buying anything else - vaseline works just as well for conditiong the lashes!

over and out

Hi I am using salon systems at the moment with great results although I haven't tried any others so can't comment on them :)

we use both methods , eyelash permine and iappeal. both give different looks and results. I like the more natural look of iappeal but many of my clients dont and i foundthe iappeal dropped quicker too.

I dothink though if the client has short and pin straight lashes, iappeal is best, t gives a lovely look and those shields are sooooo easy to use.
