These are a new full set i did yesterday... trying to straighten up the sidewalls and get my smiles more "even"
Can you tell me what i can do to make these better.

Thanks
Mel

Hi I love the colour its very nice and your smile lines are very good , but imo the sidewalls are still fanning out and so they look abit to wide.Apart from that I really like them.

Your sidewalls need to be brought in as they fan out quite a lot. When doing your smile lines try to add a tiny (dry) bead to each corner to finish it off as I can see quite a few nails with the corners of the smile missing. I would also try to extend the nail bed (have you tried Ezflow HD cover pink? This is great for extending nail beds) as this would make the nails look more in proprtion and make the fingers look longer and sleeker.
Well done and keep posting! xx

They look really good. Just taper the sides in a little, this will make them look more in proportion with the pink and not look so wide. Well done! :)

Thank you all for replying.. I have not tried the coverpink as yet..
I find if i use my CND opaque ( similar thing) i tend to bring it over the smile line.. can;t seem to get it right.

Will try and get those side walls in more.... thinking of soaking mine off so when i do i will post them on here..
thanks

Try using the reverse application method when using opaque cover powders. I'm sure if you do a search you'll find lots of help on how to do this. I'm sure I've seen a video on youtube somewhere.

If you don't want to extend the nailbed to make them more balanced, then just shorten the free edge a little.

Cheers,
Hazel

Hiya,
I think your smiles are lovely & crisp, but you need to consider the 1/3 free edge colour to 2/3rd's pink to make them more pleasing to the eye.
You could use the EzFlow HD cover pink into zone 2 to mask out the 'natural' free edge. So, put in your zone 1 where your eye can see is the right area and do your smile, the put a small bead of cover pink into Z2 right up to the smile, and turn your brush around, so the bristles are facing you & brush the pink up the nail and ensure it 'melts' away towards Z3. Then go over this with your normal pink into Z2 &3.
Bring the sidewalls in more - place your file straight up the sidewall with your hand above the nail pointing towards you, iykwim and look at the file - if it's coming out towards the free edge ie - not in a vertical line, you need to concentrate on bringing the edges in, do it bit by bit and keep checking. It took me ages to get it right & I have over filed the edges sometimes until the come in too much!!! :irked::lol:
