Just wondering....Would it be ok to re-use facial sponges (the round yellow-ish ones)? Or just one pair to every client? If they can be re-used what does everyone use to clean/sterillise them?
Thanks

Not used facial sponges since college. I find them scratchy and a bit yuk so I use warm mitts.

But from what I remember they went into the boil wash with the towels and subsequently didn't last very long!

I buy mine in bulk from the States at a vastly reduced rate than I can get them here. I also have a load of little zip lock bags with write on panels on them so after each client the sponges get washed, zapped in the steriliser, dried and saved for their next visit.
Here's a link to the sponges:

Chlo - sorry to hijack your thread but Lynne, just wondered what steriliser you have. You work from a room a similar size to me and mines filling up rapidly and don't want to buy something that takes up too much room and isn't that good.

I have a towel heater/steriliser which is wall mounted. I bought some microwave brackets from Argos and put it on that. On top of the steriliser sits my iPod docking station too. It's all about maximising the space available!

Thanks Lynne, are all the heated towel cabinet sterilisers as well?

um, not sure to be honest!
I bought mine from eBay (collective intake of breath!) and looked for a towel heater. The fact that it has a UV steriliser in it as well was just a pure bonus.
