Morning all I was wondering if you could advice me , I would like to donate a price at a school fate and was wondering do I give a percentage off a treatment or do you offer to do it for free .If you do offer a percentage how much is ok?:)

i did a fete yesterday and i gave a voucher for a free almond spa manicure, only takes me 45min-1hour and its such a lovely tretment people are bound to want to book another! xx

Yep I regularly give vouchers for manicures for fetes and charity events.......Brings in the clients and the organisers will always recommend you x

I only ever give free treatments as prizes and have never given a % off as that's more of a speciall offer than a prize & may be interpreted as being a little miserly! Treat it as free promotion; you get your name known to those at the fete/fair & you get someone in as a potential new customer, and possibly their friends & family, which will more than make up for the cost of one free treatment!

I would definitely go for a FREE treatment, as if the person who wins the prize really isn't someone who could use the treatment (maybe a 90 year old man who does'nt beleive in all that pampering stuff!) they can always pass it on to someone that they know can - a %age discount would deter me from passing the prize on if I could'nt use it myself

Yep, agree with whats been said so far, Free Treatment for me too. Ive recently given away a couple of vouchers for stuff for a free Heavenly Manicure (about 40-45 mins) Good advertising as well! xx

Thanks all , I only do nails and waxing so what wouls suggest as a good free treatment ? would you pick one or just say free treatment and let them chose?

I would choose it yourself, I wrote on the voucher "free treatment for The Heavenly Manicure" and valid it for 6 weeks from the date of the fete xx

I donated any treatment on my price list (I only do nails and spray tanning) the winner chose gel overlays and now comes back every 2 weeks

Hi, I did a stall on Saturday at my son's school fair for the PTA, I did nail art and tattoos, I also gave 2 raffle prizes of Hollywood/Glitterball toes, they only take 40 mins max per set and are a good advertisement.
