I am booked on a Fake Bake tanning course soon and they have an offer on to buy the kit of the pop up tent, spray gun and solution on the day.

I wanted to know if anyone has used this kit before and if it was ok?
I will be going mobile so will this be convenient? It also seems to be a good price.

Any ideas or advise would be great, Thanks.:)

Hiya,

I did my training with fake bake back in June and I bought the kit on offer. It's brilliant I love it. Only thing is it only comes with the darker solution so I had to purchase a bottle of the original solution on top as well as oil free moisturiser and marketing material (record cards, pre/post tan advice slips etc.). All this of these extra bits I got from their trade website as I set up an account with them on my training day. So you may want to think about the extra bits too including disposable pants & hairnets etc as this can bump up your initial outlay.

Overall though, I love my kit and would not swap it for anything!

Good luck with your spray tanning x

That's brilliant news!

I will find out the extra costs then for the other bits.
Is it easy to use whilst mobile also?

Thanks so much.

i done my fake bake spray tanning in june at the end of my first year of college and they told me about the offer they had on for the tent, litre of solution, gun and spray machine for £250

the woman never had any details on her so just gave her my contact details to get back to me about this, where are you doing your course about?

Hiya

Yes it isexcellent for mobile use. It's very compact and the tent comes with a bag so you can carry it around. I'd suggest getting yourself a big plastic box/tub or a cheap suitcase to transport all your bits in. I also bought some black towels to line the bottom of the tent with and for me to stand on at the front of the tent to protect the clients floor.

A x

Hi, I did my training in London a couple of weeks ago, ordered the start up kit and there is a 4-6 week wait on the Peb-l! Arggh! And I have clients waiting for a tan!! Also, by the time I had added the 'extras' on, like lighter solution, advice slips, sticky feet etc it was near enough £350, and then ther's VAT(!)so be aware that it can mount up quite quickly!! But it was good fun and the tan lasted very well on me..

I went on the course about one year ago which I enjoyed. I do like the fact that there are only two solutions to choose from, some therapists may find this limiting but for me it keeps it simple and I haven't had any complaints about the colour, only a few initial teething problems when you first start out which was down to me/client. The staff at Warrington are great and as I only live round the corner they were only too happy to help if I popped in with any issues.

I also bought the same equipment offer and although I think its really easy to use and to clean I have to be honest I have had a few problems with it.

1. Hose connection did not fit into the compressor properly and kept flying out - I had two replacement units and I believe this is no longer a manufacturing issue.

2. Hose near gun end literally broke away, not once but twice. I now have ultra strong tape around my hose as I'm waiting for a replacement.

The tent is great, not issues, as has been the gun and the compressor itself, although I do believe you should let this cool down for 15 mins after doing about 5 tans.

The customer service has been very good in my case and I always get a replacement but I did lose confidence with the hose quality. Hoping they've got it right this time as it is great for mobile and like I said very simple to use and maintain.

Would also just add that if you are going to people's homes might be worth investing in an extractor fan, particularly if you are doing a few tans.

Good luck!
