ok fake tan pro's :) i need your knowledge, (im from the nail forum)
bought some fake tan yesty as i have a few parties to go to so and i thought it would be nice to be bronzed rather than my usually pasty self, (and i mean white!!!) anyway bought a small bottle of 'He-Shi' express liquid tan.
The girl in the shop did a demo on my arms to show me the colour and how to apply. so far so good. (shocked at how natural it actually looked)!

But heres my question ''when to shower'' i want to apply it and give it time to develop but she said obv when you shower it will prob lighten but i dont want it too come off or go streaky.
so advice please for how long after application to shower and are there things that we would normally use in the shower to stay clear from!?

sORRY a bit long, but a virgin fake tanner!

About as far South as you can get!
Hiya,

Can you give us a little more info? What did the lady who sold it to you say? Does it say anything on the bottle?

I would more than likely leave it on for about 4 - 5 hours and see how it goes.

He shi express is best applied with a tanning mitt and left to develop at least over night, basically the longer you leave it the better, longer lasting tan you get. Leave it for a minimum of 8 hours and when showering avoid washing with harsh soaps or shower gels, dont scrub skin excessively and pat yourself dry with a towel. When you shower the ''guide'' colour will wash off leaving a very nice golden natural tan. Hope this helps :)

Hi,

with that tan because its liquid - use your mitt - i find if you cup the mitt in your hand, pour a little in and let it slightly absorb into the mitt before applying then it stops tan wastage, make sure and apply a moisturiser to hands, elbows, knees and heels as i find the he-shi grabs quite a lot in these areas - next time get the A-Tan liquid tan, its fab.
