Hi everyone,
Just after abit of advice and see if this has happened to any one eles?

Been doing spray tans for a few months using tantrick, which i love but have just tryed fakebake spray tan solution for the first time (luckily a friend and not a paying customer). solution went on fine and developed nicely but after being left over night and wash rinced off the colour faded to nothing.

Ive used fakebake lotion on myself in the past and never had this problem so iam abit stuck and not sure what when wrong.

Any advice greatly recieved.

It probably didn't fade to nothing-it probably just faded a lot?
Had she got any moisturiser on before you sprayed her?
I always found that Fake Bake faded really quick anyway. It generally only lasted about 3 days which is why i don't use it!

Well that doesn't sound right at all. I use Fake Bake (including on myself) and it averages a good few days - some clients report 7-8+ days.

It's got to be either some product was present on your friend's skin preventing the tan from taking, she washed it off long before the minimum 6 hours (but I always recommend 8 or overnight), or there's something wrong with the solution. Fake Bake did have a problem with their bottle manufacturing during the summer, just wondering how long you've had your sample and whether it could've been from this dodgy batch.

Ages ago I spray tanned a friend who reported that the tan "for some reason" hadn't taken. I subsequently found out that (a) she'd forgotten to buy any exfoliator beforehand so used some olive oil and a handful of sugar to prepare her skin with and (b) the next morning sat in her "usual Sunday morning bubble bath" and used a face cloth to "wipe off all the excess". Never more slapped have anyone's wrists been.

xx

The majority of my clients say the same or that it hasn't really taken to their legs. I find the cream tan doesn't last long either. xxx

I have found fake bake to give a really nice guide colour, if not a little bit green, but does go nice and brown. But never last longer than 3 days and never ever dark, as in really dark iygwim xxxx
