just wondering how many of you lash geeks have changed over to using the strip lashes.......and if any of you have tried them but decided to continue using the pot lashes.
What advantages/disadvantages have you found with either of them?
I'm debating whether to buy some of the strip ones to try.
Thanks, Lou xx

I only use the strip lashes really, I find them quicker as they are already in the right direction for me, i have loads of pots i should use up but think i may sell them on.

I'm pleased you asked this question:hug: as I was wondering about these mink lashes too.

I have not tried them yet either, still on the pots, so will watch this thread xxx

I much prefer the lashes on a strip. It's quicker for me. The silicone lash pads are supposed to be good for working with loose lashes. I might get one of them to try.

If you want to wait a couple of weeks before buying the strip lashes I'll be bringing mine when I visit down your way.

I love pre loaded strip lashes, they are easy for me to attach three different lengths on the back of my hand, in the right direction. I don't seem to get as much waste, which I sometimes get with my pot lashes.

Ah now I must be the odd one out here
lash stripes are still new to me I find them more fiddly to work with than my single pots of lashes.
I seem to pull more than one lash of at times, cant seem to keep a count of how many I have applied and my head automatically turns to the right of me to look for my pots. (i am a lefty you see)
Think I just need to practice more with them.

Actually, I was wondering this too. Do people using the mink strips find that the client finds them harder? xx

hello
i am also the odd one out here geeks. i prefer the pots, i have tried to get the hang of the strips and spent a small fortune on getting different sizes and lengths etc . . . . . but i keep returning to my old faithfull pots. i find when i am trying to pull the lash off that it can be left with a kink in it and looks a bit wonky, also i dont know if it is just my imagination but i think the lashes on the strip give a very slightly different look, a bit wispier. like i said could just be my eyes playing tricks on me and no doubt some of you will disagree. pots are far cheaper, and as far as time is concerned i allow 2 hours for a full set and i lash till i can lash no more up to 80 lashes on each eye. hth

When I take the lashes off the strip I just grab and mostly get just 1. I keep a little bit of double sided tape on the back of my hand for when I take 2 off but not very often.

I use 2 pairs of straight tweezers for lashing. When I've used tweezers with a bend in them I always put a kink in the lash so I don't use them anymore.

When I started using Mink strips I was very new(still new) and only working on friends. one of my friends said she preferred them as the looked "richer".

hi lee-ann
thanks for the tips, i think i will try again using what you said and see how i get on. thanks again
lee-Anne:hug:

Thanks very much for your input everyone. I've ordered some today along with a few other bits and pieces (ordered a silicone pad Lee-ann) so I'll give them a go and see how I get on with them.
Thanks again. xxx

ohh great thread :).. i was looking at these as I'm not doing my training till April I'm spending time looking up what i need and spending money of which i am great at lol.

I found them but had no idea what would be best i think ill try the strip ones as they sound easier to use. But i have found like its been said on here there are a lot less on the strips and they cost more, but if it gets speed up for ease of use then the extra outlay may be worth it for better timings .

I also came across colored ones .I am going to have to get them lol i want purple ones in mine when i get mine done and a schwartzki crystal set that looked so lovely and great for xmas and special events.

I didn't like the strip lashes-ended up pulling more than one off and they are more expensive.
I use a silicon pad and they are great!
I take a few lashes out of my pot and put them on the silicon pad. I have tape on a jade stone and i just pick the lashes up off the silicon pad and put them on the tape in the right direction. Doesn't take hardly any time and i find that easier for me :)

I too prefer my lashes in a pot:green: I do like the minks, and think they have their place but I find they slow me down for some reason. I love my little piles of loose lashes on my mat.
I do like the silky glossy look of the minks though.

wow so many different opinions so mink strips are like marmite you either love them or hate them same for pots! hehe. I hate marmite, love the mink strips hate the pots i would say try them if you dont like them then at least you know.

well i`m pretty new to lashes but i must admit i actuall like both equally!! i have the mink strips on hand and some pot lashes on pad. so i`m sat on the fence for now hahahaha xx
