Hi everyone

Just been staring at the gelish colour chart once again and deciding which colours to go for and which would layer nicely

So I just wondered what your favourite combos are to bump up your colour choices??

Answers and pictures would be great xx:)

I can't upload pictures, but starburst over bells vampire is beautiful! Like a metallic effect cadburys purple.

All About Me or My Forbidden Love with Good Gossip on top.
Any dark colour with Izzy Wizzy or Vegas Nights on top.

Wiggle wiggle over bellas vampire for me! I LOVE it :)

Sunrise in the city over Bella's Vampire and Good Gossip over Black Shadow have been two of my most popular.

One coat of any of the thinner colours over black shadow or bella's vampire work well, I'm just doing some layering on colour pops at the moment so will post a pic in a bit x

Not sure if that's uploaded properly, it wouldn't let me upload a bigger version x

Midnight Caller x2 with High voltage on top x1 makes a great sparkly purple

After party espresso x2 with orange cream dream on top x1 makes a bronze colour

I love mixing!!!

Sweet Chocolate x2 with 1 coat of Stand Out over the top, deep burgundy colour.

Ooo I'll have to try the midnight caller one! x

Bella's Vampire, Good Gossip
Bella's Vampire, Good Gossip, Vegas Nights
Sweet Chocolate, Taffeta OR Ambiance
Wiggle Wiggle, Good Gossip

I could go on & on about all the colours, but the pops are at work & i'm at home.

Will have to have a go of Midnight Caller & High Voltage though, i do love those colours & cant wait to see what my new ones in the post can add to my already over growing Gelish collection !!

I'm still experimenting on layering as I only have a few colours (just starting out). What I want to know is how many coats do you put on or does it really depend on the colour your using. Some of my sample pops are looking a bit streaky:(xx

I haven't done much layering with gelish yet but taupe model over passion or carnival hangover is nice as it really tones it down (older clients choose it a fair bit).

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Midnight caller & High voltage combo.

Here's all my others:
Your so particular, June bride
Midnight caller, Waterfield, Vegas nights
Tiger blossom, good gossip
Tutti fruiti, Vegas nights
Good gossip, June bride
Sweet chocolate, stand out
Jet set, taffeta
Jet set, ambiance
Jet set, Vegas nights
Caution, taffeta
Black shadow, starburst, Vegas nights
Black shadow, starburst
Bellas vampire, Waterfield

I used Starburst over Caution which created the most gorgeous deep purple.
Good Gossip under Bella's Vampire is lovely and Caution with Izzy Whizzy is really nice too.

The only non glittery one I've used and liked is Sweet Chocolate with Stand Out on top. I tend to stick to the basic colours or add a bit of sparkle. I always think the layered colours just look a bit different to the base colour!

My most popular layering option has been Black Shadow with Izzy Wizzy over it, turns into a gorgeous sparkly blue/puple depending on the light. You'd never guess it was black to start with! I also love Starburst over My Favourite Bleue-tique, makes a deep Cadbury type purple xx

Ambience looks lovely over quite a few colours!

I've just done a set with One Diva and Two Hot Rod Red :)
