im learning to do fibreglass nails, but i have been praticing on my aunties nails. the first time i done them i used the nail tips that came with the course, and i used spray activator, and none of them came off in the whole month she had them. the second time i done them i used star nails revelation tips, and i used the brush on activator, and about 5 of them came off in a week. can someone help me? doi you think it could be the nail tips or the activator or neither???

It could be the way you use the brush on activator. If you apply too much of the thicker resin, then try and work in the activator, you could be making it too thick so that it takes ages for the resin to set and possibly not be bonding well enough and become loose when filing to finish.

Or, you might apply too much activator which will cause it to set too quickly, making it brittle and more inclined to crack or shatter or be less flexible so come off easier. You will lose the nails quicker.

Does this help you?

I personally prefer the spray activator and to do thin layers of the resin and build it up that way. I found the tips i use no different, as long as you take the shine off of them before applying resin or fiberglass.

thanks for your reply.

this has helped.

thanks
