WHEN USING FIBREGLASS SYSTEM FOR A NATURAL NAIL OVERLAY, COULD YOU MISS OUT THE FIBREGLASS/SILK STRIP AND USE JUST RESIN AND ACTIVATOR,

I think the strength is in the fibreglass/silk
at college we got taught to do 2 layers of silk for more stregth (if needed). x x x

Applying a tip, blending and then using only resin to build an apex plus the activator is what I was taught to be a "party nail". With care they can last up to around four days. Are easy to remove and good for a good weekend/night out quick fix. Hth's X

Are you using the resin for giving it more strength?????

You could do but, Fibreglass provides a cross link between the nail and the resin and prevents shattering.
The natural nail is flexible, just coating it with resin will provide hardness. Hardness is not that great, flexibility is ...... fibreglass used with resin will give that flexibility......

The strength comes from something being flexible and being able to bend to a certain degree with out snapping.... think dry old oak tree V. bendy willow tree.............
