Finding a decent curly hairdresser

Hi there, I have wavy/curly hair and have had a few great hairdressers in the past, who loved my curls and knew how to cut them. Unfortunately both times they left their salon and I've been left trying to find another hairdresser who knows and cares about curly hair. If I call salons and ask, I'm told that they're all trained to cut curly hair, but I want someone who celebrates rather than tolerates curly hair, without having to break the bank! Any advice on what other kinds of questions I should be asking salons, or any recommendations for the Stourbridge area would be greatly appreciated! I trawled the net but haven't had much luck.

Hi curlyrach, I understand your pain lol. I know he's not Stourbridge but Matt Surplice in Birmingham is a curl god! HE's right by New street so easy to get to. Check him out on Facebook he's got some photos of his work on there.
