I have recently qualified in Young Nails products - gel. I have been using the finishing gel as a shinny top coat. I am finding that when I've done my own nails in particular that the finishing gel is running in to the cuticle. This is very frustrating:irked: as it's causing the gel to lift around the edges. I know the application of gel is not bleeding into the edges so its definately the finishing gel. I am buffing off the excess after the gel application but its only seems to be happening with my nails - tk god!

Have started to set the finish gel nail by nail to try to stop this from happening. I saw on a thread that I can use gloss instead of finish - what are your thoughts on this.

Its getting me down as it takes so long for me to do my nails and then for them to start lifting it driving me crazy.

really appreaciate your comments please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use N.S.I products and they have glaze 'n' go which is applied as a polish but still has to be cured and i used that instead of finishing gel. hth :)

Hi I use finish by Young Nails, I do thumbs seperately and cure then all fingers then cure I think you might be applying it too thick if its running, you don't need to flood the nail to get a nice shiny finish try just using a little less, don't give up on it as it is a great product, if you are still having issues give your trainer a call. hth. You probably are using too much of the product. make sure that you wipe your brush to the side of the bottle from the cap downwards too the brush. it can happen when you have a fairly new bottle. the gel is very thin so the slightest you apply too much will run down in the sidewalls and cuticle area.

Finish is a really thin material and the comments about having less on your brush are right on target! Maybe working with a thicker Gloss gel would be easier for you? :)
