I am moving premises in April and need to put into place fire safety procedures. The current premises I rent the landlord provides extinguishers and alarms with regular servicing. Am I able to buy fire extinguishers myself to put in the new salon or do I need a qualified person to install these and carry out a risk assessment.

I have 'Tyco' come round.
They initially survey the premises, install the appropriate extinguishers, and service them once a year.

You might need to contact your local council if you need fire doors, wired in smoke detectors and illuminated FIRE signage.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm going to contact the council for advice xx
