Hi Geeks,
I have just come back from my very first paying "proper" client. Oh my god i was so nervous i was on the loo for the hour before i went to her house.
She had a luxury pedicure, i did a trial run at my mums last with with all my equipment (i am mobile) and it took me 1 hour 15 mins which i thought was ok for a luxury pedicure. Today it took me nearly two hours, we were chatting alot though and i found her toes wouldnt bend very well so it took me ages to file and do the cutile work. It did take me ages to set up too and do the consultation.
Can anyone give me any tips on trying to speed up this treatment.
Thanks
p.s. having a gin and tonic now and got a big smile on my face even though it took me so long to do. Her nails looked great though and she loved the colour.:)

Well done you !!!! Im just on the brink of getting out there to start my empire (yeh right!) so Im totally with you on the nervous front.

Enjoy your g&t, you deserve it. May many more follow!!

Well done to you girl, just try and keep your head down when your chatting, that may save a bit of time.

i find mobile always seems to take a bit longer due to all the faffing , setting up etc....
at the moment hun i wouldnt worry too much till you have more clients where you are booking x amounts in during the day ,
enjoy it :green:

Thanks ladies, dont know why i was nervous cos i have done the treatment millions of times. The clients house and garden was amazine, hopefully she will be a returning client.

Im sure she was happy with you being there for two hours ,atleast she she had long enough to enjoy the treatment and wasnt just getting a rush job done and she was getting her moneys worth, and it also sounds like she enjoyed your company.!

Did she ask to take some leaflets of yours to pass on to friends? My first pedicure lady did, I was so chuffed, but unfortunatly didnt hear from any of them in the end.

Hi, no she didnt but she was going on holiday tomorow. She goes to my slimming club so hopefully she will tell everyone how wonderful i was :) She told me she could tell that i enjoyed what i was doing as i was really into it, which was a nice compliment (i think).

Mmm,might be worth approaching her at w.w and offer her a discount or freebie if she recommends you to few w.w friends, I think this is where I fell back when I first done my first peddie,I didnt offer her a freebie or discount if her friends booked, but at the time I was just started out, and this is all things Ive learnt now, to give the client an insenative to come back and get you more clients.x

I put a little paragraph in my price list saying if you refer a friend you will get a mini manicure free with your next treatment - i did it this was so they wont just ask for the free treatment, they will have another treatement and then get the free file and polish. She was asking how much i charge for a file and polish during the treatment. Bless her she had painted her own nails before i came and it was all over the cuticle, so hopefully if she liked my polish application she might try to find some clients for me and get a free mini manicure.

Whoops, 3rd glass of gin and tonic now

Ok so youve signed off now..it must of been that 3rd glass ..lol..the amount of times Ive been on here after a few glasses of wine,Im trying to reply to threads and getting all me words wrong so I end up deleating it all and starting again..lol..but Im being good at the moment and laying off of it...
