Hi Guys

I have been spraying now for well over four years (god feel old). I have today had first problem and wanted to ask advice. I trained with spray tan cubicle company (fantastic). I sprayed a client last night and I prepared as usual, barrier cream round ankles and backs of heels, just a smear and the usual places. I always pay alot of attention to the legs, to make sure they are sprayed evenly and well. I was taught to spray the legs from Knee to ankle and then the feet, pull back and spray once over. My client said that she had darker tan round her ankle. Would you advise to spray from foot up to knee, so residue does not fall to bottom. Never had this before. Gun is always turned down and do not get over spray? slightly perplexed:irked::irked: Also do you think different solution settle differently

Hiya, I also spray down the legs but from thigh right down to ankle or front of leg right down to foot etc in one go, I then do the feet separately.

I don't use barrier cream. I spray the feet as I would any other body part as I find that if I spray lighter they end up with white socks on, I normally give a couple of coats on tops of feet then do a cross shape from ankle to big toe and same other side if that makes sense, so that the sides of feet also get a little bit of colour.

I use Sienna X solution and there is not a great deal of overspray but I do spray quite dry, I tend to use around 25ml per full body tan. I dont think overspray alone is enough for the feet.

Maybe she slept with her ankles together or something? I would just advise her to give them a light buff with a body puff thing and they should tone down a bit.

I always spray hip to ankle then only when i have done everywhere do i turn my attension to feet and then if required i lightly spray.

As you have been doing it four years with no complaints I wouldnt worry too much about your technique!!

Maybe you just used a little less barrier than normal or prehaps had gun turned up a little too high?

Obviously im assuming solution wasnt out of date, client wasnt wearing body lotion etc?

Gun is always turned done really low. What barrier cream is best do you think? perhaps need a thicker one. I always spray the feet and hands last, from a pull back position. I have sprayed her so many times before with no probs. My mind is boggerling.

If you have sprayed her so many times before with no problems and this is your first issue in 4 years I wouldnt worry about it too much  who's to say it isn't something she has done?

You could change your barrier cream and get other problems with that, white lines etc... I'd just keep doing whatever you normally do x
